Born in Merced, CA in 1968, I was born the youngest of three children. My dad was a B-52 navigator in the Air Force and my mom stayed at home and took care of the family. We moved to Haughton, LA from Omaha, NE in 1976 and I've been here ever since.

My husband and I stay busy raising two kids: a 15 year old girl and an 11 year old boy. For fun we like to garden, ride road racing bicycles, attend the kids' school events and baseball games, travel, and occasionally ride our motorcycle. One of our favorite vacation spots is Seagrove Beach, FL. Click on the picture to learn more about Seagrove Beach. Last year we vacationed at Disney World. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a specialty in science education. I taught Physical Science at Parkway High School for two years and then quit to raise my family. I currently work at our church as a publicist, producing all printed material as well as overseeing our internet outreach programs. A few years ago I created a website for the church using Microsoft Publisher. I am taking this course in hopes of producing a more well-put-together site.
